Kosher on Monkland

(updated July 15, 2015) do you have something to add to the list? email us at rabbi@jewishmonkland.com

Restaurants and Cafes

Yakimono (under the MK) The best Kosher Sushi in town. Really nice place to eat out and enjoy the best of Kosher Montreal.

Second Cup now has a selection of Kosher Sandwiches, Croissants and Muffins all coming daily from Adar Bakery (under MK).

Iris-istible is a new and delicious bistro-cafe on Decarie and NDG Ave. They've got amazing pastries and great breakfast and lunch (under MK).

Wine

The SAQ on Monkland does have a small selection of Kosher wine all year round.

Bread and Challah

St. Viateur Bagel gets a shipment of Homemade Kosher Bakery Goods every Wed.

Au Pain Dore Bakery - All the bread in their freezer section is Kosher and under MK.

Provigo gets an order of Homemade Kosher Bakery Goods every Wed.

Sugar, Candy, Ice Cream and Treats

Sparkles Candy Shop - Sparkles does have quite a few Kosher candies and treats. There are kosher signs on some of the bins it DOES NOT mean the products are actually kosher! Please ask them to see the original bag. DO NOT TRUST THE SIGNS!

Ben and Jerry's - Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream is kosher dairy and NOT Cholov Yisroel.

Groceries

Unfortunately, there are no Kosher grocery stores on Monkland. The Provigo does have a limited variety of kosher foods, and they have a small Kosher section around Passover and High Holidays. Just a note, don't try to buy matza there the day before Passover, you won't find any... it goes pretty fast.

The closest Kosher Groceries:

Merto Queen Mary

Loblaws on St. Jacques

IGA Cote St. Luc Rd.
