Rabbi Yisroel Bernath is the spiritual director at Chabad of NDG and is the Jewish970059-vois-comme-entremetteur-vieille-ecole.jpg Chaplain at Concordia University. He received his MA in Hebrew Letters and Rabbinical Ordination from the Central Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim in Brooklyn, NY & Yeshiva Gedola Rabbinical College of Greater Miami. He was trained in Structual Cognitive Modifiability and received his diploma from Haddasah-Wiso. Rabbi Bernath is the author of three titles, and has extensive experience working in Adult Education, Special Education and counselling hundreds of young adults and couples.

Over the past 12 years, Rabbi Bernath has become the young adults rabbi of Montreal. He has a network of hundreds of young adults which grows daily. He and his dedicated staff and volunteers create events, classes and programs for students and young professionals in Montreal.

In 2010, Rabbi Bernath was a finalist for the Jewish Community Hero Award. He was Canada's only finalist and is one of Canada's most popular under-40 rabbis.

In 2012, Rabbi Bernath founded JMatchmaking International, a network of Jewish Dating Sites. He has made 53 matches to date.

In 2014, Rabbi Bernath gained a lot of media attention for creating the "Quebec Kippa" as a solution for Quebec's proposed Charter of Values.

In 2016, Rabbi Bernath starred in Viceland's popular show Dead Set on Life. He showed Chef Matty Matheson around Kosher Montreal.

In 2017, Rabbi Bernath starred in the hit CBC Documentary "Kosher Love". Produced & Directed by Academy Award Winning Frederic Bohbot & Evan Beloff 

Rabbi Bernath is the co-founder of New York-based Jewish World Publishing. As a screenwriter, Rabbi Bernath co-wrote the Award-Winning Full Feature Animation "Young Abraham". As an actor, Rabbi Bernath acted in The Will (2010) and Mixed Blessings (2012). His other credits include work with Shazak Inc, Sandy Productions, CMJ Productions, Big Bang Animation, and Realtime Jewish Media. Rabbi Bernath is a professional voice-over artist and storyteller, and he has lent his voice to hundreds of productions and performed all over the world.

Rabbi Bernath lives in Montreal's trendy Monkland Village with his wife, Sara, and children Chaya, Zalmy, Leiba and Hena.
